Job Description

DCS Corp is seeking a UAS Project Test Engineer to provide platform integration, test and qualification expertise for a major UAS ground control station software program.

Essential Job Functions:

Collaborate with aircraft platform program offices to design a comprehensive test strategy for UAS ground control station improvements.  This will include exchange of test plan and test report data, and development of joint schedules for platform integration and test.

Provide support for platform qualification with unmanned aircraft systems and address Problem Reports and Change Requests found during the platform integration testing events.

Technical support includes the definition, planning and participation in ground and flight testing at both the platform integrator’s facility and government qualification test events.

Provide input to the System Test Strategy to include system Critical Operational Issues and Criteria (COICs) in which to judge adequate effectiveness, suitability, and survivability.

Identify DoD-required Joint Interoperability Certification (JIC) activities as appropriate for system attributes judged Joint Applicable or Joint Interest by the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) including communications protocols and information formats between aircraft platforms and Joint or Coalition systems.

Provide Test and Evaluation oversight necessary for system evaluation and identify sources for evaluation data for AR 25-1 Certifications for Network Operations; including Army Interoperability Certification (AIC) and Net worthiness certifications.

Support Government Risk Management Framework (RMF) verification and validation test events.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Must have an active, Secret-level, DoD security clearance.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related technical discipline) with at least 10 years of related systems experience.

Familiarity with Army flight system certification processes including airworthiness certification, interoperability certification, developmental test, and operational test.

High level of proficiency in basic MS Office tools, i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, used on Windows 10 computer operating systems.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with Army/DoD UAS platform command & control functions.

Familiarity with Army/DoD software test policies,  procedures and reports.
