Job Description

Candidate will work closely with the Information Management and Software Development leadership to define functional test automation strategies and processes to support the F/A-18 & EA-18G Project. The candidate is responsible for creating, executing and maintaining an Enterprise level automation testing strategy and automation test framework for a given set of automation tools and level of standardization. Candidate will create and approve custom controls, create and review the mentorship, and to include training plans. The candidate will also demonstrate an innovative ability to increase testing efficiency and maximize testing tool optimization across the enterprise. All projects are multi-year efforts that support the USN, USMC, and Foreign Military Sales customers.

Essential Job Functions:

Perform requirements analysis, definition, and functional allocation, implement allocated requirements through software requirements, and test procedures.

Participate in test planning, test definition, and test documentation. Test documentation will include test point definitions, test descriptions, and test procedures.

Document requirements definition and allocation in JIRA.

Participate in product inspections through each phase of the software lifecycle.

Participate in process improvement activities as assigned.

Provide requirements definition and test status as assigned.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelors Degree (or work experience equivalent) in an Engineering or Science discipline with 3+ years of strong requirements engineering or test engineering experience.

Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Ability to work as part of a team or independently.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple platforms and architectures, technologies and environments.

Solid understanding of object oriented programming, design and debugging skills.

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with Source Code Management Tools, Software Problem Reporting Tools, Atlassian Tool Suite, SQL Database  and Microsoft Office.

Experience with source control systems and configuration management including Agile.

Experience with designing and creating scripts beyond record and playback, developing functions, custom controls and integrations of different testing tools.

Experience with automated testing with Microsoft TSF, .NET Framework and C# Development.

Experience with Telerik GIT, Bitbucket, and Subversion.
