Job Description

Currently seeking experienced Logistics Analysts to support technical data support related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of weapon systems supportability and/or maintainability programs and information systems within a NAVAIR Program Office.

Essential Job Functions:

Works as a team member on logistics and maintainability programs with logistics and maintenance control organizations.

Assists with the technical evaluation and identification of weapons systems logistics requirements and resources; development of logistics support and maintainability programs or plans; systems acquisition requirements analysis; budgetary or financial analysis and control; life cycle cost analysis and control; weapons systems hardware and software standardization and compatibility; Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)/Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) program test and evaluation planning and execution; and, ILS/R&M program management analysis.

Organizes and aligns technical data to the associated avionics system, categorizing and documenting the technical data, and uploading the information to a Program Office maintained database.

Collects, compiles, analyzes, investigates, researches, or applies logistics, maintenance, acquisition, or financial data and information.

Develops, modifies, prepares, or validates documentation in relation to automated logistics or maintenance data reporting systems, and management information systems.

Digitizes and uploads technical data to the Program Office database with metadata information to support searchable data capabilities and improve extraction efficiencies.

Updates Technical Data Packages as a result of Engineering Change Proposals or other modifications.

Identifies logistical requirements for updating Technical Data Packages and assists with the incorporation of applicable engineering inputs.

Assesses the maturity of Technical Data Packages (TDPs) in accordance with ASME Y14.100 (series) and Mil-STD-31000 standards.

Job Requirements

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

High School Diploma/GED plus 16 years of experience, Associates degree plus 10 years of experience, BS or BA degree plus 8 years of experience, an or a Master’s degree plus 6 years of experience.

Must have an active secret clearance.

At least 6 years of experience in NAVAIR avionics life-cycle (acquisition) logistics is required.

Understanding of Technical Data Packages and ASME Y14.100 (series) and Mil-STD-31000 standards.

Understanding of engineering source data and how it aligns to logistic products, required data for system sustainment, and technical manuals for O, I and D-level maintenance.

Understanding of in-service engineering functions.

Understanding of Configuration Management.

Desired Skills:

Working towards Professional Logistics Certification is preferred.
