Job Description

The System Engineer will provide DoDAF compliant architecture products development support to Army Project Managers (PMs). This includes life-cycle management, technical, and acquisition knowledge of Army Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems. The primary emphasis is to work with a team to develop DoDAF compliant architecture products as well as related milestone documentation such as the Information Support Plan (ISP).

Essential Job Functions:

Support development and modification of DoDAF V2.02 compliant architecture products using IBM System Architect (now UNICOM) and/or Magic Draw software tools. System Architect files may need to be upgraded from DoDAF V1.5 to V2.02. Other architecture products require development via Microsoft Excel.

Develop and/or update Information Support Plans (ISPs) required for Project Milestones.

Job Requirements

U.S. Citizenship is required, due to the nature of customer requirements.

Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline paired with [eight (8)] years of experience.

Applicant must possess or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Working knowledge of DoD5000.02, DoDI 8330.01, CJCSI 6212.01, DoDAF V2.02, JCIDS Manual, and other pertinent Army/DoD governance required to perform assigned architecture and ISP development tasks.

Ability to derive C4ISR requirements/capabilities from capability requirements documents and apply them to the development of Army/DoD mandatory DoDAF architecture products and ISPs.

Experience with System Architect and/or Magic Draw and Microsoft Excel.

Be able to accept and follow an established, successful process for development/modification of DoDAF compliant products.

Provide architecture product and other pertinent data inputs to support capability requirements document development, and Information Support Plans (ISPs) with the latter being engaged with architectures analysis.

Work in a team environment, interact with various program organizations personnel, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
