An exciting opportunity for a Sr. Acquisition Program Manager to provide program acquisition strategy and milestone planning in support of armament system capabilities gap analysis and requirements development for new and emerging technologies.

Essential Job Functions:

Supporting all armament systems development activities in line with strategic planning and future systems requirements development.

Understand and identify capability gaps in current armament inventory, while planning/coordinating approaches to cover those gaps with new systems and other game-changing technologies.

Facilitate all systems development readiness reviews with the Prime Contractor including coordination of all Government stakeholders, agenda development, presentation material review and feedback, and organization of breakout meetings.

Communicating/interfacing with the prime contractor, sub-system suppliers, and any other Government stakeholders to meet program objectives.

Systems engineering activities including risk management, configuration management, requirements development, and verification support, schedule development/oversight, action item development/oversight, etc.

Maintaining all Government armament systems development documentation pursuant to the aforementioned duties.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A Bachelor's degree plus 25 years of experience or a Masters degree plus 15 years of experience.

Active Top Secret Clearance.

Must be able to support a minimum of 50% (two to three weeks) of travel per month.

  • Government notification of travel requirements may occur within 7 days prior to the start of travel.
  • Must be able to rent/operate a rental car while on travel.

Must be able to work varied/flexible hours as needed.

Must have effective communication skills both orally and in writing.

Desired Skills:

Experience with the following preferred: DoD weapons systems acquisition; Analysis of Alternatives; capability gap analysis; requirements development and verification support; risk management; configuration management; systems engineering technical reviews such as system requirements review (SRR), preliminary design review (PDR), and critical design review (CDR).
