Job Description

Analyzes user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to implement optimal information technology tools for performance and training support.

Essential Job Functions:

Works with established toolkits and helps evolve toolkits allowing customer to provide highly tailored solutions with high reliability, rapid fielding, decreased content development/integration costs, and reduced life-cycle sustainment costs.

Updates and/or enhances existing software capabilities.

Works with computer software developers, content developers, PMS experts, designers and network stakeholders to integrate software systems, develop specifications, and implement functional requirements.

Develops and manages eXtensible Mark-up Language (XML), SCORM content, and Microsoft automations associated with performance support solutions, both working individually and coordinating development as part of a team.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Technical discipline plus 10 years of experience is required.

Must possess a DoD Secret security clearance.

At least 12 credit hours of computer or information systems coursework or a professional development certification in Web Development, Microsoft based Development, XML, or Database technology.

10 years of experience developing and sustaining subsystem and software components.

5 years of experience developing and integrating Navy maintenance information technology systems.

At least 3 years of experience working with XML and management of asynchronous data connectivity in chaotic environments.

4 years of experience developing or evaluating the transformation of unstructured data into standards based structured data formats.

3 years of experience developing solutions distributed to Navy ashore and afloat users through DoD infrastructure.

Must be certified to meet the requirements of DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher at time of contract award.

Desired Skills:

Master’s degree in engineering or technical field.

Operations research training and/or direct experience.
