DCS Corp has an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman, Acquisition Program Engineer supporting the AFLCMC/EBM, Miniature Munitions Division which consists of Small Diameter Bomb (SDB) I, SDB II and the Joint Miniature Munitions Bomb Rack Unit (JMM BRU).

Essential Job Functions:

Miniature Munitions is a Joint Air Force/Navy organization managing over $4 billion in development, fielding and sustainment for USAF, USN, Marine Corps, and Allied combat forces' highest priority miniature munitions including the fixed target kill SDB I, moving target kill SDB II in addition to future multi-carriage munitions and technologies--keys to Global Strike Task Force.

This position will be join the SDB II development team as they execute an extensive Integrated Engineering Change Proposal including datalink modernization, system electronics updates, and development and integration of a new Global Positioning System (GPS) M-Code receiver.

Prior knowledge of GPS, signal processing, electronics or electrical engineering is preferred.

Demonstrate successful engineering or technical background in one or more of the following areas: Global Positioning System, signal processing, communications, electronics design, antennas or electrical engineering.

Have strong desire to become a subject matter expert in GPS, datalink communication and weapon electronics design and production.

Development, test and acquisition of Navigation systems involving the use of GPS, Inertial and other advanced technologies for Armament Systems. This may include GPS receiver technologies (SAASM, M-Code), GPS modernization (civil and military), IMU technologies (current and evolving), various Kalman Filtering algorithms for integrating GPS/INS and other multiple sensors (multi-lateration, tightly-coupled, ultra-tightly-coupled, Transfer Alignment of weapons, etc.), and Communication and Data-Link technologies.

GPS receiver related specifications, ICDs and GPS Control segment capabilities; evaluation and assessment of GPS jamming threats, jamming scenario analysis, Anti-Jam algorithm development, integration and test for Armament Systems.

Analysis and requirements of GPS jammer detection and location algorithms and technologies.

Research, analysis, requirements definition, and integration of alternate navigation systems for GPS-Denied scenarios (Advanced IMUs, Star-Tracking, Electro-Optical sensing, Image Navigation etc.).

Design, development and testing of electro-technology (any electrical and electronic) systems, including product design, analysis, and testing in all areas of electro-technology applications such as analog and digital circuits and systems analysis; signal processing techniques and implementations; EMI/EMC analysis; power supply evaluation; radiofrequency component analysis; microcircuits (e.g., FPGA, microprocessors, memory circuits) evaluation; radiation hardened electronic circuits analysis and evaluation; multispectral analysis of C4I system architectures; and flight control systems analysis and evaluation.

Signal processing techniques (waveforms, modulation and de-modulation, encryption and decryption, error correction coding, parameter estimation, etc.), networking, messaging, link budgeting, and spectrum management for weapon communication systems.

Development, integration, testing, and deployment of Armament Systems and their associated weapon data links to include definition of data link interoperability, interfaces, and verification and test assessment requirements.

Job Requirements

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Current Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Master's and 15 years of experience or a PhD degree plus 5 years of experience.
