Job Description

Currently seeking a Mission Planning/Data Integrity Test & Certification Engineer to provide support to the RNP/RNAV Mission Planning Test & Certification Project located on the Naval Air Station Patuxent River.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide engineering support to Test and Certification of Data Integrity aspects of the U.S. Navy RNP/RNAV installation associated Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS). 

Responsible for addressing Functional Requirements, Description Requirements, Verification Matrix test/analysis points, and ensuring/testing compatibility.

Prepare associated Data Integrity Test Plans.

Perform code walkthroughs and testing.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science plus 2-7 years of experience in multiple High Order Languages such as C++, Ada, C and Java is required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance.

Experience with complex data structures and logic, assembly language awareness, avionics knowledge/understanding, and technical writing experience.

Test and certification experience is preferred as well as experience working within a competency aligned organization (like NAVAIR). 

Understanding of Mission/Flight Planning and the SETR process is desired.  Experience with civil avionics programs and experience/awareness of DO-200, DO-201, and DO-178 is also preferred.
