Job Description

The Logistics Analysts will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting data and providing logistics information to aid cost effective, efficient, timely and high quality logistics solutions. Will work closely with the FSR Field Support Manager(s) and other stakeholders in the organization.

Essential Job Functions:

Analyze and maintain supply chain processes to design efficient, money-saving solutions for every step of the chain. Work both independently and in a team environment, primarily in the company business office, and ultimately report to the FSR Field Support Manager(s). Travel to facilities to personally assess stops in the supply chain.


  • Maintain databases and data in information systems or databases.

  • Ensure reliability, integrity and accuracy of data

  • Interpret data on logistics elements such as Availability, Maintainability, Reliability, Supply Chain Management, Strategic Sourcing or Distribution, and Suppler Management.

  • Prepare logistics reports and operational reports of logistics performance.

  • Confer with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, or minimize cost.

  • Monitor inventories of products or materials.

  • Track product flow from origin to final delivery.

  • Monitor inventories of products or materials.

  • Recommend improvements to existing or planned logistics processes.

  • Enter logistics-related data into databases.

  • Maintain data in information systems or databases.

  • Monitor inventory transactions at warehouse facilities to assess receiving, storage, shipping, or inventory integrity.

  • Monitor inventories of products or materials.

  • Contact potential vendors to determine material availability.

  • Obtain information about goods or services.

  • Contact carriers for rates or schedules.

  • Obtain information about goods or services.

  • Produce forecasts and estimates to aid financially sound decisions and cash flow planning • Ensure logistics costs are monitored, managed and under control

  • Collaborate with manager or stakeholders to determine effective solutions

  • Participate in regular planning reviews and change processes and prepare data in line with changes

  • Set up and provide regular reports and data relating to specific areas of the logistics process such as supplier analysis, transportation costs

  • Track logistics trends and use information to recommend changes

  • Utilize knowledge and research methods to benchmark logistics activities and to drive best practice results

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

High School Diploma/GED and 7 years of experience or AS or Tech School and 5 years of experience.

Must possess a DOD Secret clearance.

Excellent analytical, planning and problem solving skills

Ability to undertake complex analysis to create information and to interpret data and trends

Commercial and financial acumen with a full understanding of the impact of failure in terms of business cost, production schedules and customer order fulfilment

Good communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally

Excellent attention to detail skills
