Job Description

DCS Corp is currently seeking Systems Engineering support to provide support to PEO Land Systems, PM AAA program office to provide assessments on the survivability of vehicle, crew, and troops including ballistic and ground vehicle countermeasure systems for each PM AAA Family of Vehicles simultaneously.

Essential Job Functions:

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Interface with PM AAA, ACV, AAV engineers; and other technical professionals on a daily basis.

Assist the Government in creating, editing, formatting, publishing and archiving a variety of engineering documents.

Coordinate and prepare agendas for IPT meetings, Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), and technical management meetings; and record meeting minutes.

Coordinate and prepare technical and MS Informational Briefs for the T&E lead.

Draft, update, and deliver Live Fire Test/Directorate Integrated Schedules.

Draft and update Test Plans, and deliver them to the Government for review.

Participate in the execution of all Live Fire Tests (e.g., Engineering Development Tests, Component Ballistic Testing, Control Damage Tests (CDT), and Ballistic Vulnerability Tests (BVT)).

Review Live Fire documentation for compliance with DoD guidelines that support individual program requirements, and provide recommendations via an email.

Draft Live Fire Test observation reports for the T&E Lead.

Monitor the prototype builds, and reviews of Non-Conformance Reports, for impacts to survivability requirements.

Monitor the progress of live fire critical issues and update compliance with Data Source Matrices.

Procure the computer system and design tools (e.g., CREO, Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM), Modular Unix-Based Vulnerability Estimation Suite (MUVES), Simple Lethality and Vulnerability Estimator (SLAVE), Vulnerability Analysis of Surface Targets, and Stochastic Analysis of Fragment Effects) to perform T&E via the research and analysis cited below.

Develop, deliver, and review MUVES models and analysis supporting all Live Fire programs; Vulnerability analyses, and specifically MUVES analysis, will involve processing of classified information.

Conduct operational research of armor types, and armor performance.

Review fault tree analysis to verify criticality analysis.

Attend Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) / Data Collection Analysis and Corrective Action System (DCACAS) reviews for issues relating to Live Fire Testing; and

Draft and update the Live Fire Service Report for the T&E Lead.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's and 8 years of experience or a Masters and 6 years of experience. 

Secret level clearance is required.

Strong knowledge of planning and executing live fire testing.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Possess strong technical writing expertise.

Excellent interpersonal, time management and analytical skills.

Well versed in all Microsoft Office suite of products.

Must be capable of developing program documentation and briefings and able to coordinate the review/approval process.

Experience with ACAT I programs is required.

Desired Skills: 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 10 years of experience.

Experience providing engineering support to PM AAA a plus.
