Job Description

F-35 WIPT Laboratory Standards Lead.  This senior program engineer, as a member of the Weapons Integration Product Team (WIPT), provides support and technical expertise to oversee and manage all the Lab Standards efforts, and supports horizontal and vertical integration across the Fort Worth development Labs. This effort also demands support of life cycle management (cost, schedule, performance) of the F35 Development Lab activities.  This includes all aspects of lab and M&S development, integration, and sustainment support through SDD and into FOM.   This position is located at the F-35 Joint Program Office, Crystal City/Arlington VA (near Washington DC). 

Essential Job Functions:

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

Supporting vertical and horizontal integration for organizational outputs across the JPO

Implementing priorities within the Modeling and Simulation Team

Supporting development and implementation of strategy and planning within the Modeling and Simulation Team

Monitors the technical baseline of the program

Supporting cost, schedule, and performance of production, development, and sustainment for M&S 

Provide support in the budgeting and POM process

Ensuring long term M&S and JSE visions are developed and implemented with Lab Standardization considerations

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A Bachelors degree in engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience.

Must be able to obtain and maintain program security clearances.

Possess a strong background in team management with technical experience in the functions and outputs of weapons integration and test.  Must have Test and Laboratory knowledge with Systems Engineering experience.

Strong interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders and ensure close linkages across the JPO.
