Job Description

Provide on-site electro-optical engineering and technical/program management support to U.S. Army Product Manager Ground Sensors.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide project management/engineering support with program oversight of electro-optical and infrared, laser sensor fusion, focal plane arrays and real-timed algorithm processing related programs.

Support development and approval of DoDI 5000.02 acquisition documents.

Development and maintenance of product requirements.

Support development and approval of product engineering specifications and interface control documents.

Support identification and mitigation of product risks.

Support development and approval of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), System Engineering Plan (SEP), Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) and Performance Work Statement (PWS).

Support concept development, production, integration, and technology insertions/upgrades.

Support development and system integration of sensors onto various weapon system ground platforms.

Support program reviews, system engineering technical reviews (System Requirements Review thru Physical Configuration Audit) and technical interchange meetings with the government and suppliers.

Support supplier manufacturing and test activities for focal plane array and optical sensors.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Optical Engineering.

DoD Secret clearance.

Ten (10) years’ experience with any of the following: design and analysis; product development, testing and data analysis; ground vehicle platform integration of infrared and electro optical sensors, optical sensor manufacturing.

Experience with optical sensor design, laser eye protection, focal plane array manufacturing, and cryogenically cooled infrared sensors.

Experience developing sensor performance specifications and interface control documents.

Knowledge of systems engineering concepts, execution of systems engineering technical reviews, and verification and validation testing.

Knowledge of requirements management using DOORS.

Familiar with DoDI 5000.02 Defense Acquisition System regulations and DAU weapon system development process.

Travel up to 20% of the time.

Desired Skills:

Experience working in an Army Product Manager organization.

Master's degree.
