Job Description

As the Budget Management Analyst providing on-site budget management oversight in the areas of cost analysis, budget execution, and acquisition support to a US Army Product Manager at Ft. Belvoir, VA.

Essential Job Functions:

Maintain Program cost database by tracking all program costs to include projections, commitments, obligations, expenses, disbursements.

Provide budget development & execution support including preparation and submission.

Maintain and track funding execution information using complex budget spreadsheets, and provide weekly and monthly status reports.

Perform cost analysis & estimations and provide recommendations as a member of an IPT.

Reviews, analyzes and verifies data submitted for consistency with financial and program objectives, adherence to instructions, necessity of expenditures and compliance with most recent fiscal policy guidance.

Performs an in-depth analysis of budget requests, shifts in project direction and emphasis and/or requests not included in planned program and explores alternative sources of funding.

Develops justification and impact statements and compiles data to be used for forecasting obligations.

Consolidates input into a unified package for submission to higher headquarters.

Job Requirements

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of experience.

Must possess a Secret clearance.

Cost analysis experience in areas of projections, commitments, obligations, expenses, and disbursements.

Experience with the Government Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and Department of Defense Budgeting.

Experience in direct and reimbursable appropriations to support a large number of different programs.

Working knowledge of MS Office to include Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desired Skills:

Level I or higher DAWIA certification.
