Essential Job Functions:

In this role, you could expect to:

Develop laboratory and field research testing and data capture techniques for the evaluation and replication of aircraft, aircrew and equipment vibration.

Develop code/scripts, applications and procedures for collecting, compiling and analyzing various types of sensor data for vibration testing with associated digital signal process tools and software such as MATLAB and ArtemiS SUITE and Microsoft tools including Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.

Assist with Human Performance testing and data collection, including flight tests.


Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related technical discipline; and at least 2 years of related experience.  (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity category. Candidates with varying degree and experience combinations may be considered for alternative classifications.)

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: eligible for Secret level clearance.

Capable of attaining Form 2992 flight medicine clearance (required to participate in flight tests in support of aircrew and patient vibration studies).

Experienced with human testing, including data collection and processing instrumentation and equipment used for both field and laboratory human vibration studies.

Bring familiarity with operation, controls, and maintenance of single axis and multi-axes human-rated vibration systems.

Understanding of sensor data filtering and processing, data analyses and application.

Familiarity with use and integration of sensors (such as accelerometers and rate sensors), and data acquisition systems used with humans, aircraft, equipment and biodynamic facilities. 

Understanding of sensor data filtering and processing, data analyses and application.

Some knowledge of national, international, and military noise and vibration standards, DoD requirements and documentation for conducting human experimentation relating to aircraft.

Knowledge of the human spine loading limits and injury risk criteria.

Versed in the use of Microsoft tools including Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.
