Job Description

In this role you will provide full-spectrum ACQUISITION SYSTEMS ENGINEERING support to the GLOBAL HAWK PROGRAM OFFICE within the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio or Robins AFB, Georgia.

The DCS Team has entered the direct pre-award phase for this multi-year effort. Accordingly, we are working to smoothly transition incumbent team members, and to fill existing and projected vacancies.

These positions include both tele-work and government-site work requirements.

Nominal start of work is 20 November 2020.

Essential Job Functions:

In addition to tasks and responsibilities related to the specific engineering discipline and project, all team members must perform various common engineering duties to enable the accomplishment of the Global Hawk acquisition mission, to include:

Provide general engineering support to the Global Hawk system development, production, deployment and support planning, coordination, and execution efforts, and support timely resolution of technical queries and engineering problems.

Support internal Global Hawk acquisition processes including among other tasks configuration boards, program management reviews, airworthiness certification, technical interchange meetings, deficiency reporting, and configuration audits as directed by the Government to support program execution.

Assist with providing technical support in planning, analyzing, and evaluating efforts used to define total weapons systems/subsystem requirements, translate requirements into design criteria, evaluate alternative design approaches, develop system specifications, and perform technological/trade-off study assessments of proposed designs.

Assist in performing complex and comprehensive analyses and use systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approaches to determine performance objectives and integration issues.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Possess a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, or higher, in a professional Engineering discipline from an American Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited educational program and a minimum of 12 years of engineering experience in a relevant functional area with a minimum of 8 of those years working in the specialty task area for the DoD.

An adjudicated DoD Security clearance on the First Day of employment. 

The required clearance level is dependent upon position and project assignment, and may include: Secret, Top Secret,  and NATO endorsements.

Personnel at the Senior and Subject Matter Expert (SME) level shall possess the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in their technical/professional field, and possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and journeyman personnel within the technical/professional discipline.
