Job Description

Candidate will be a Systems Engineer supporting the EOIR/WSI team.

Essential Job functions:

Candidates' tasking will be as a Systems Integration Engineer supporting the WSI team.

Duties include System Engineer (SE) responsibilities, analysis, tool development, Scrum, Agile implementation, SOR team and/or SOR team lead assignments for EOIR and weapons systems mounted on all USN and FMS F/A-18 aircraft. 

Plan, schedule, and conduct sensor system laboratory and ground tests; develop and document test procedures and test points; as well as process and analyze post-flight data as required. 

Duties require following and adhering to the engineering processes outlined in the F/A-18 Systems Engineering Process Manual.  Support technical interface meetings between government, contractor, and other stakeholders.

Research, analysis, and collection of data necessary to support decision making on both engineering and programmatic decision making. 

Interface with all levels of the F/A-18 IPT, as well as other external organizations (i.e., Boeing, NAVAIR, etc.) and exercise independent judgement and initiative to complete assigned tasks in accordance with F/A-18 IPT defined processes.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline with 2 years of experience with Navy Aircraft Platforms.

Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word).

Effective communication skills.

Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

Ability to acquire and obtain Secret Clearance.

Desired Skills:

Familiarization with F/A-18 (All configurations) aircraft.

Familiarization with Agile and the ability to work within small groups or Scrum teams.
