The Tactical Mobility (TacMo) Integrated Product Team (IPT) develops and delivers innovative and custom software and hardware solutions/products that enable the ability to securely execute mission requirements and support integrated warfighting capabilities, meeting current and emerging critical fleet needs. TacMo’s in-house organic and agile capabilities, from developing systems from concept through design and into fabrication and prototyping, allows for rapid release outside of traditional waterfall product life cycles. TacMo’s organic product development also supports the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) Phase of the NAVAIR Acquisition Process. The incumbent will be required to support the planning, installation, configuration, testing, implementation, and management of digital information systems supporting the Tactical Mobility IPT. The System Administrator will manage and operate computer systems to include:  performing backups, software installations and/or modifications, system scanning and patching, security vulnerability remediation and documentation. This position is responsible for the day-to-day technical operation, maintenance, and security of the organizations IT systems.

Essential Job Functions:

Install new software, administer security procedures, ensure system back-ups and monitor system performance.

Provide support for systems software installation, maintenance and security.

Maintain a documented inventory of IT assets including hardware, software, and licensing.

Document methods, processes, and standard operating procedures for IT related tasking.

Assist Laboratory users, diagnose IT problems, and recommend and implement solutions.

Monitor information systems and user compliance with cybersecurity policy, as appropriate, and review the results of such monitoring.

Provide technical support and assistance to the IPT and parent programs including occasional night and weekend events.

Analyze customer information systems for risk to the organization.

Assist in maintaining a repository for all cybersecurity-related documentation, i.e. Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) management and tracking, Certification and Accreditation (C&A), and Computer Network Defense (CND).

Ensure implementation of IS security measures and procedures, including reporting incidents to the ISSM or CISSM, Authorizing Official (AO) and appropriate reporting chains and coordinating system-level responses to unauthorized disclosures in accordance with DoD Manual 5200.01, 'DoD Information Security Program,' February 24, 2012.

Ensure that the handling of possible or actual data spills of classified information resident in NAWCWD ISs, are conducted in accordance with DoD Manual 5200.01, Volume 3, 'DoD Information Security Program: Protection of Classified Information,' February 24, 2012, as amended.

Ensure that any cybersecurity-related events or configuration changes that may affect the system authorization or security posture of the IS are formally reported to the ISSM/CISSM and/or AO and other affected parties.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance for the duration of employment.

Formal training, certification, or 3+ years’ experience with providing IT support for information systems to include end user desktop support in an enterprise environment.

Familiarity with security controls to include Security Technical Information Guide compliancy, security patches, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).

Familiarity with the processes for scanning, identifying, reporting and/or mitigating security vulnerability.

Must be able to obtain a IAT Certification (e.g., A+, Security+, Network+, CISSP), or a BS in an acceptable field with accompanying OS certification.

Must be able to obtain a Secret level security clearance and maintain for the duration of employment.

Desired Skills:

Previous experience with enterprise IT systems is preferred.

High school diploma/GED plus 3 years of experience, or Associate's-level (AA/AS/Technical school) would be beneficial.

Strong understanding of networking, TCP/IP, and related technologies is a plus.

Ability to perform Information Assurance (IA) functions and generate documentation.

Experience with the operation and maintenance on various enterprise server environments including Linux, Microsoft Windows, and VMware.

Knowledge with Microsoft Windows workstations, servers, and data back-up systems.

Experience with VLANS and TCP/IP networks.

Expertise with Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Access, and Visio).
