Infoscitex is seeking an experienced Simulation Software Engineer to support high visibility autonomy-related software development efforts in a Modeling and Simulation application. As a member of our team, you will work in Dayton, OH, having opportunities to work in a dynamic environment, with state-of-the-art simulation technologies, simulation integration experts, and military Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). This work focuses on providing rich M&S suitable for US Army aviation applications.

Essential Functions:

Construct air vehicle models, payloads, and effects inside AFSIM

Write and edit scripts to produce simulated pattern-of-life behaviors in VBS 3 and/or Vigilant Spirit Simulation

Produce and manage multiple scenario vignettes to enable varied interaction mechanisms

Interact with SMEs, system developers, and customer stakeholders to interpret and define simulation and model requirements

Coordinate with team members to produce and manage simulation data and results for input to multiple applications, including informing machine learning-based models

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required

At least a BS degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline; and at least 2 years of related experience

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Ability to conceptualize complex problem statements to formulate valid and applicable solutions

Excellent written and verbal English communications skills

Experience with engagement, mission, or campaign level simulation environments

Ability to participate in limited short-term intermittent travel

While not specific requirements, we feel an ideal candidate may also bring:

MS or PhD in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline

Knowledge and experience with Modeling & Simulation (M&S) environments (constructive and virtual) and/or Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) concepts

Prior work with simulation technologies, such as AFSIM, VBS 3, or Vigilant Spirit Simulation

Advanced scripting or programming experience
