Job Description

The Executive Officer (XO) reflects a substantial role in all the required areas (planning, organizing, performing, supervising, tracking and reporting).

Essential Job Functions:

Interface and coordinate with higher level staffs; provide program information, analysis, and recommendations to leadership for program action and decisions; develop battle rhythm of activities; calendar management; coordinate and facilitate recurring staff meetings; Prepare, review, staff, transmit, and electronically store on government-owned systems, agenda, briefings, papers, tasks, minutes, calendars, action items, and other program-related documents; and prepare required presentation materials for on-site and off-site events.

Job Requirements

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

The minimum education requirement is a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Management, Logistics, Quality, Production, or other related field with extensive experience.

Active Secret U.S. DoD security clearance or ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in the last 10 years coordinating the management of complex DoD engineering or technical programs with a background and knowledge of planning, organizing, performing, supervising, tracking, and reporting on complex programs (preferably ground combat vehicle systems experience).

Has a minimum of 3 years of prior military experience that includes leadership positions and/or operations staff experience at the Battalion level or higher.

Understanding of project timelines, schedule dependencies and critical paths.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Desired Skills:

Experience with DoD vehicle engineering, integration and fielding efforts.

Experience working with TACOM, PM and PEO offices within the Army Materiel Command.

Understanding of the Army acquisition process.

Familiarity with DoD ground combat vehicles.

Possess PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP) credential.
