Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

Provides, coordinates and manages design influence and conducts logistics, maintenance and sustainment engineering.

Assists system engineers with logistics performance specifications and statements of work and; ensures continued operation and maintenance of a system with managed risk.

Identifies, reviews, assesses and resolves deficiencies throughout a system’s lifecycle.

Identifies opportunities for performance and capability enhancement; evaluates deficiencies for correction and develops a range of corrective action options

Develops and recommends required design changes to resolve operational and safety issues; provides analysis of environmental and safety hazards, failure causes and effects, reliability and maintainability trends, and operation use profile changes.

Provides logistics support for system testing, Technical Manual (TM) validation/verification, Logistics Demonstration, fielding and training.

Ensures cost-effective support to achieve peacetime and wartime readiness and performance over the system’s lifecycle.

Interfaces with ATEC, HUC, AEC, CASCOM, and MCOE for logistics engineering requirements.

Interfaces with ASAALT, AMC, LCMC, PEO Soldier, ATEC, AEC, CASCOM, MCOE, and other PEOs and PM on logistics requirements.

Establishes and coordinate provisioning requirements and execution with Life Cycle Management Centers (LCMC) and contractors.

Coordinates and manages configuration management with approval from the System Engineering Integrated Product Team (SEIPT) and the Product Support Integrated Product Team (PSIPT).

Conducts technical reviews of the in-service system performance against baseline requirements, analysis of trends, and development of management options and resource requirements for resolution of operational issues.

Reviews, evaluates, and coordinates Programmatic Environmental Safety Health Evaluations (PESHE).

Develops Unique Identification Plans for design, marking, reporting, and data input; and determines Sustainment metrics and parameters in coordination with the PSIPT.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

High School Diploma and 14+ years’ relevant experience or Associates Degree and 12+ years’ relevant experience or Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years’ relevant experience.

Must have DoD Secret clearance.

Equivalent of DAWIA Certification Level II for Life Cycle Logistics.

Must be familiar with use of Logistics Automated Systems.

Must have knowledge of Logistics, Maintenance, Sustainment Engineering, National Environment Protection Agency (NEPA) policies.
