Job Description

In this position you will provide full-spectrum Acquisition Systems Engineering Support to various USAF acquisition programs within the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance and Special Operations Forces (ISR/SOF) Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.

Essential Job Functions:

Assist with the technical management of the Imaging and Targeting Support development effort within the USAF ISR Sensors and FMS Division (AFLCMC/WIN).

Provide knowledge and expertise with various common GEOINT sensor types including Next Gereration Electro-Optical/Hyperspactral Sensors .

Provide operationally relevant systems engineering services to assist with technology development activities that identify, analyze, evaluate, test, certify, and implement new capabilities.

Apply the principles, criteria, and procedures of the DoD to include DoD 5000.01 and DoD 5000.02 as well as the policies and processes of USAF, HQ AFMC, AFLCMC Engineering Directorate, ISR & SOF Directorate and Division level to all AFLCMC/WIN engineering tasks.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant Engineering discipline, from an ABET accredited program is required. Engineering Management and Engineering Technology type degrees do not fulfil this requirement. A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of four (4) years of experience on DoD acquisition programs/projects is required.

Applicant selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Requires a Top Secret clearance (SSBI within the past five years) with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI-DCID 6/4) eligibility on the first day of employment.

Possess the ability to understand and assimilate highly complex technical information, and assist in the assessment, operational planning, testing, and transition of technology to support new USAF programs of record.

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with multiple intelligence disciplines to include, but not limited to: Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Imagery Intelligence (IMINT), Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), Hyperspectral Imaging, and Sense and Avoid (SAA) Systems.
