Are you someone interested in working on exciting software development problems that have a direct impact on our nation’s Airmen? If so, please note that Infoscitex, a DCS company, is seeking a Full Stack Web Developer to support a high visibility, high impact research and development program building tools to support new communication management technologies. As a Full Stack Software developer, you will join a Scrum team and help scope, implement, and integrate new software, as well as have the opportunity to develop front-end interfaces, create back-end databases and services, integrate and incorporate external services, and work directly with external customers and operators. You will also be joining a growing team of engineers, scientists, and subject matter experts in Dayton, OH, dedicated to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our nations Airmen with technologies that use artificial intelligence, machine learning and natural language processing.

Essential Job Functions:

Build web-based applications, interfaces, and data visualizations to support operational customer needs.

Design and interface with in-house databases and interact with external data sources.

Integrate data analysis algorithms that are cloud-based or locally developed.

Develop data capture and analysis tools to support the research and program improvement.

Participate in the team’s agile development process. 

Help provide documentation, integration, and training support to users.

Requirements:

Due to the sensitivity of customer requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

At least a High School degree with at least 16 years of related development experience.  (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity. Candidates with advanced degrees or varying experience may be considered for alternative classification).

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: eligible to attain a U.S. DoD SECRET security clearance.

Experience with front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and a familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React).

Experience with deploying and interacting with databases (e.g., MongoDB, SQL, etc.).

Comfortable with version control software (i.e.; Git) and project management tools (e.g.: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.)

Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.

Ability to work well in team environments.

Ability to participate in limited intermittent travel (less than 10%).

While not firm requirements for consideration, we feel an ideal candidate may also bring the following attributes:

Experience deploying software to cloud environments and using cloud native services (e.g., Google cloud platform, AWS).

Experience with natural language processing or text mining algorithms.

Experience with audio or audio processing.
