F-35 Test Execution Lead

DCS Corp Edwards, CA (Onsite) Full-Time

Salary: $120,506 - $216,580

DCS Corp is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Test and Execution Lead / Liaison Officer (LNO) to provide critical Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to the United States Operational Test Team (UOTT) at Edwards Air Force Base, CA.  This key role will be embedded with and directly support the UOTT, VX-9, and/or the 17th Test Squadron (TES) in the execution of complex F-35 flight test programs across multiple locations – including Nellis AFB, NV, Edwards AFB, and MCAS Yuma, AZ – as well as coordinating with supporting aircraft operating from various bases.

Responsibilities encompass all phases of test execution, from range and asset scheduling and test mission planning to data analysis, product generation, and comprehensive test reporting.

This position demands a proactive individual with a strong collaborative spirit and a commitment to delivering high-quality results that directly contribute to the advancement of national security.

Essential Job Functions:

Develop, plan, and execute F-35 operational test missions,  leading a team of qualified “White Force” participants and analysts, adhering to established Test Plans and tactics documents to test the F-35's effectiveness in an operationally representative environment.

Perform test conductor duties in a control room atmosphere during a test event, (e.g. assessing test objectives, observing flight safety issues, and other real-time scenario assessments to ensure safe and effective test execution).

Develop and manage Test Plans, , Test Trials, and Test Reports.

Interpret Test Plan requirements and ensure operational test missions are planned and executed according to those requirements and the guidance of the Test Director or Software Block Lead.

Provide test planning inputs to ensure appropriate data collection and creating technical products that enable timely operational test reporting, with additional goal of contributing to a unified AFOTEC Det 6/UOTT support for the warfighter.

Participate in data analysis; assist Ops/Data Analysts to develop appropriate analysis methodologies in pursuit of measures of effectiveness or suitability.

Monitor and assist in mission execution, collect information such as watch items and identified deficiencies, and monitor real-time feedback on software/hardware configurations.

Participate in mission execution and data collection, analysis and evaluation efforts.

interface with UOTT Software Block Leads to exchange and synchronize efforts and information.

Develop test and data analysis plan inputs, manage test data, and contribute to a unified AFOTEC Det 6 data analysis toolset shared across test sites.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.  

A Bachelor's degree plus 12 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 10 years of experience.

Active Top Secret Clearance. Top Secret/SCI Eligible.  

Demonstrated expertise in respective platform operational concepts and mission systems such as radar, weapons, electronic warfare, sensor fusion, electro-optical and infrared imaging, communications, and navigation .

Expertise in operational test methodologies and program management.

Comprehensive knowledge of air warfare and tactics in one or more mission areas including Defensive Counter-Air, Offensive Counter-Air, Destruction/Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses, Close Air Support, Air Interdiction (air-to-surface strike), and weapons live fire events.

Proven ability to develop test plans, reports and other formal technical documents.

Minimum of five years working with the U.S. military in test operations, flight operations, or a as a qualified aircrew member with experience in tactical aircraft. 

Desired Skills:

Ideal candidate will have significant experience in any/all of the following areas:

F-35 Systems & Employment.

Threat tactics and capabilities.

Extensive knowledge of fighter aircraft, aerial refueling planning, the conduct of tactical missions, and threat systems and Air Force or Navy tactics.

Previous combat mission experience or operation test experience.

Joint Simulation Environment (JSE)Threat tactics and capabilities.
