Solutions Architect

DCS Corp Work From Home, MD (Remote) Full-Time

Develop solutions for proposals and execution upon award to complex problems as the Solutions Architect for their domain of expertise in anticipation of, or response to Requests for Proposal (RFP). Tailor cutting-edge solutions to the unique requirements of our clients.

Domain of Expertise:  Test and Evaluation of DoD Weapons Systems

Essential Job Functions:

The Solutions Architect is responsible for providing business and technical guidance to development teams, associations, and customers for existing and new services. The solutions architect develops marketing strategies, business concepts, and technical capabilities that maximize customer value while differentiating DCS from our competition. The solutions architect is responsible for the defining, designing, and building solutions to satisfy anticipated, draft, and final RFPs for our DoD customers. Responsible for defining a concept of operations and the procedures and tools required to enable delivery of products and services. Conducts analysis of alternatives on a variety of solutions to determine the best solutions to support overall business goals and objectives.

Support capture, proposal, and service delivery efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts by developing technical solutions, basis of estimates, and content for capture strategy and proposal responses.

Manage SME information supporting capture, proposal, and service delivery efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts, or task order business by developing technical solutions for capture strategy and proposal responses.

Identify and interpret requirements for the design, development, and delivery of technical and service solutions. Develop solutions for specific issues or participate in project planning for specific requirements. May be involved with creating project budgets, schedules, and quality plans in support of proposal requirements. Evaluate, and assess effectiveness existing processes and develop new strategies to improve performance. Provide leadership, people management support, technical career mentorship, and guidance to development and proposal teams.

Travel required – estimated 6 to 12 trips per year, of 2-5 days duration, all within US for customer site visits, and conference attendance.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements U.S. Citizenship is required.

BA/BS Degree (or equivalent experience) with 10+ years of DoD Experience.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Experience with federal government procurement strategies, regulations, and requirements.

Significant experience with industry standard proposal processes.

Passion for future development of US power projection and defense in the domain area.

Stays current with domain related technology and practices.

Must be detail oriented, critical thinker, possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Desire for continuous improvement and a commitment to best practices.

Willingness to expand into and assist in other related domain areas of expertise.

Effective communication skills, especially in a team setting; strong collaboration, and influencing skills.

Effective organization and time management skills.

Ability to handle a dynamic work environment.
