Ground Vehicle Test Coordinator
This is an opportunity to join the fast-paced world of engineering ground combat vehicles for the US Army. Working as a DCS employee co-located in Aberdeen Maryland, you will work alongside the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center customer and be rewarded with a technically challenging and diverse career in the areas of ground combat vehicles.
Essential Job Functions:
Coordination of vehicle test including vehicle test assets, support equipment, spare parts, test personal availability and all other resources used for Program office test purposes.
Reports shall be provided to the Program Office Test team on a frequency as determined by the Program Office Test Lead for each test site to communicate project/test status and test results.
Attend and actively participate in test-related meetings as directed by PM.
Engage with the Test Managers and ATEC Test Officers for assigned programs/systems, to remain abreast of all current and planned test activities.
Monitor test events as assigned by the program Test Lead for each test site, immediately inform a program Test Manager of all significant test incidents, help determine corrective actions on vehicles, and assess impacts to subsequent testing.
Coordinate with the program Test team to plan, allocate, and optimize resources to accomplish multiple projects/programs within established constraints.
Document frequently used or recurring processes as standard operating procedures, checklists, or job aids that comply with regulations, internal policies, and higher echelon guidance.
Track and provide information for vehicle configuration management for all PM test vehicles.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum of year 8 years of experience testing vehicle platforms.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Project management experience.
Self-starter with the ability to work without direct supervision.
Ability to work within a team context to both direct and contribute to vehicle testing and development efforts.
Ability to daily provide high quality support and customer service to the Government customer in a high visibility position.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Strong interpersonal abilities, including ability to tactfully negotiate resolution to competing programmatic demands and requirements.
A strong customer service mentality.
Comfortable with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
