Vehicle Electronics Architect (GCIA)
This is an opportunity to join the fast-paced world of engineering ground combat vehicles for the US Army. Working as a DCS employee co-located in Warren Michigan, you will work alongside the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center customer and be rewarded with a technically challenging and diverse career in the areas of ground vehicles, vehicle electronics, software, and vehicle electrical architectures.
Essential Job Functions:
The GCIA Architect is a position which requires cultured knowledge in the domains of Computing, Signals, System Safety, Cybersecurity, Networking, Electronics, and Software.
Responsible for the engineering management of Ground Combat Systems Common Infrastructure Architecture (GCIA) implementation on specific vehicles.
The GCIA Architect will Understand how GCIA relates and impacts performance specifications to identify gaps in GCIA compliance of proposed designs. Perform model-based (SysML) traceability reviews for GCIA requirements.
The GCIA Architect will evaluate contract deliverables and communicate contractor performance towards GCIA compliance to the Army program Office.
The GCIA Architect will prepare and review test plans, observe tests, and analyze test results to determine adequacy of performance, and provide recommendations to address deficiencies.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering plus a minimum of year 5 years of experience with engineering of networked vehicle systems.
Experience with developing Modular Software Architectures.
Model-based System Engineering (MBSE) experience
Experience with wiring diagrams.
Scripting.
Training OMG SysML Model User (MU) Certification or Higher (desired)
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Desired Skills:
Technical knowledge/capability in system level design of ground combat vehicles, to include working knowledge of systems, sub-systems and components that make up PEO Ground Combat Systems (GCS) Common Infrastructure Architecture (GCIA), such as Computing, Signals, System Safety, Cybersecurity, Networking, Electronics, and Software.
