Cyber Support Technician (Nellis AFB) (UID 1003)

DCS Corp Las Vegas, NV (Onsite) Full-Time

Provide Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC) Detachment 6 and the United States Operational Test Team (UOTT) with full-time System and Network Administrator support with extensive experience in the design, implementation, and management of Information Systems (IS) and communication equipment supporting Collateral, Special Access Program (SAP), and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) information requirements.

Essential Job Functions:

Serves as an Information Technology subject matter expert (SME) for the organization and is responsible for implementation and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) requirements in support of collateral, Special Access Program (SAP), and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

Provide technical support in the installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of Information Systems (IS) hardware, software, LAN operations and related infrastructure.

Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain different brands/models of telephone/data and network encryption devices.

Develops, updates and maintains technical documentation including process diagrams, network diagrams, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for networks, system operations, and product assembly and installation.

Provides administrative and technical support for unclassified/classified data multimedia presentations and video teleconferences.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex IS and LAN issues to identify root cause.

Responsible for supporting configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, analysis and repair of servers, switches, and long haul communications equipment.

Develops, implements, and updates configuration management plans to ensure optimization of connectivity between remote sites and test operating locations.

Monitors the operation of networks and ensures that network operating hardware and software are functioning properly and operation compliance standards are met. 

Responsible for maintaining the inventory lifecycle management program.

Serves as a SharePoint Administrator for all AFOTEC Det 6 and UOTT sites.

Serves as a Data Transfer Agent for Collateral, Special Access Program (SAP), and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) data. Responsible for securely transferring information to and from IS (Information System). 

Perform vulnerability scans.

Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems. 

Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems.

Review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.  May analyze or recommend commercially available software.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. 

A High School Diploma plus 8 years of experience or a Bachelors Degree is required. 

Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.

DoD 8750 Baseline Level 2 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Certification is required.

Well qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in DoD Network Operations.

SAP experience is preferred.

The candidate shall have working knowledge of Air Force Instructions, NIST 800-53, and other applicable instructions and standards.
