Senior Systems Engineer

DCS Corp USA (Remote) Full-Time

This is an opportunity to join a fast‐paced program with DCS Corp’s U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command ‐ Ground Vehicle Systems Center engineering group located in Warren, MI.  As an experienced Senior Software Engineer, you will work alongside our U.S. Army customer, applying your extensive skills and experience in providing technical engineering services to support the development of software requirements, architecture, design, code and test for the Vehicle Electronics Architecture team in the development of the Next‐Generation Combat Vehicles.

Essential Job Functions:

This work will include the development of Modeling and Design using SYSML.

Excellent communication skills are required to interface with systems and software development engineers as well as our government customer.

Providing guidance in creating new system/software architectures and supporting the design and development of software necessary to meet the expectations.

Work within a team environment to direct and contribute to a Vehicle Network and Data Architecture and Application Integration concepts.

Experience with Deterministic and Non-Deterministic Data Bus Architectures.

Experience performing Functional Decomposition and Capability Development methods to develop new architectures.

Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering such as SyyML UML, DoDAF, UPDM.

As a senior team member, you will have direct input and influence on Program decisions.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.

Experience developing embedded software for automotive, military, or industrial equipment.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (CS, CE, EE, Math) and 5 to 8 years of experience.

Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance.

Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues and to help junior developers work through theirs.

Desired Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent and 6 years of experience. Preference given to candidates with advanced degrees in the same field.

Proficient Linux experience, including build toolchains, interfacing with 3rd party software, system utilities, system maintenance, etc.

Experience developing Software following formal industry accepted processes & guidelines.

Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues using GDB, hardware debugger.

Ability to write scripts in Linux such as python, shell scripts.

Experience with software development and test pipelines (CI/CD), and experience with development tools such as Atlassian, bitbucket, etc.
