Salary Range: $66,600 - $90,249

Description:

Candidate will perform tasks involving Test Technician support activities in support of the Weapons System Integration (WSI) Team. Responsible for the verification of laboratory assets, insuring pod maintenance, availability while adhering to all laboratory policies and procedures.

Essential Job functions:

Test, troubleshoot, repair, and when necessary, working with Level 1 maintenance and pod vendors to ensure pod assets assigned to the WSI FLIR laboratory are functioning correctly and available for scheduled test events.

Tasking will include supporting laboratory, ground and flight tests, and verifying pre-flight pod assets as required to support schedules and performance requirements.

Other tasking includes maintaining configuration control of all EOIR laboratory assets, maintaining a detailed log of all repair actions taken, providing optimal support of the flight test schedule utilizing the available FLIR assets, reprogramming/updating pod software as necessary to support pod OFP changes, setup and maintenance of the lab support equipment necessary for stand-alone pod operation and for HWIL support for the MC labs.

Interface with all levels of the F/A-18 IPT, as well as other external organizations (i.e., Boeing, NAVAIR, etc.) and exercise independent judgement and initiative to complete assigned tasks in accordance with F/A-18 IPT defined processes.

Additional support requires keeping the FLIR laboratory in presentable condition and conducting lab tours when required.

Manage own professional development to maintain an understanding of new and developing technologies pertaining to assigned tasks.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

High School Diploma plus 7 years of experience is required or will accept an associate degree plus 2 years.

Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word).

Effective communication skills.

Ability to acquire and obtain a Secret clearance.

Avionics technician capable of troubleshooting basic electronics circuits and systems.

Knowledge of 4790.26 instructions and maintenance procedures.

Must be familiar with detailed internal functionality of Podded systems as well as all support equipment utilized for maintenance.

Desired Skills:

Familiarization with F/A-18 (All configurations) aircraft.

Knowledge of Infrared Search and track (IRST) system.

Prior military experience with knowledge and understanding of technical manuals.

NALCOMIS/OOMA Data Base and METCAL program.

Tool control program, ESD procedures, and general shop/work center duties.

Familiarization with Agile and the ability to work within small groups or Scrum teams.
