Job Description

Support PMA-209 with engineering expertise to integrate communications systems into Naval aircraft.

Essential Job Functions:

The Communications Electrical Engineer will provide technical and engineering support services for PMA-209. Candidates should have experience with software designed radios with Embedded COMSEC, anti-jam, and SATCOM waveforms. Work products include: review of ECPs / CDRL documents; draft technical white papers and platform integration plans; and test ARC-210 radios capabilities provided with Collins radio and RCU software releases.

Responsibilities:

  • Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, and design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapons systems.
  • Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
  • Applies engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
  • Analyzes designs, develops, implements, tests or evaluates products related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems.
  • Write procedures, work instructions and design practices criteria to standardize work products.
  • Evaluate technical specifications and applicable performance requirements.
  • Recommend and prepare inputs for test plans, procedures, etc. and provide other recommendation as needed.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. 

BS Degree in Math, Physics, Computer Science, or an Engineering Discipline. 4-year ABET accredited Engineering Degree preferred with least 6 years of experience in an Engineering role.

Interim Secret security clearance required on Day 1.

3 years of experience with Navy Test and Evaluation Planning and execution preferred.

Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills. Familiar with the Department of Defense (DOD) System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process. Familiar with Naval Test Procedures. Competent in MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Power Point.  

Desired Skills:

Desired Experience: 3 or more years of experience in Electronics Countermeasure Systems.
