A successful candidate will provide research, analysis, planning and execution support to the company’s ever-expanding business development initiatives.  

Essential Job Functions:

Basic curiosity about new things, driven to research and analytics.

Familiarity with government procurement processes and government contracting.

Support and integrate into a close-knit team of Business Development professionals providing research and analysis into customers, partners, companies, opportunities, and markets.

Support identifying, researching, analyzing, qualifying, and leading opportunities through the Business Development lifecycle.

Support competitive assessments to determine company positioning.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, US Citizenship is required.

Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years Business Development Experience.

Upload opportunities into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and act as CRM Data Administrator.

Assist with developing presentations, market/business plans, and marketing materials.

Coordinate externally with Government Contracting Offices and Program Offices to gather information about upcoming opportunities.

Conduct market research to identify potential clients, competitors, and emerging trends in the defense industry.

Monitor government procurement websites (sam.gov, GovWin, etc), industry publications, industry consortiums and other sources for relevant business leads, solicitations, and opportunities.

Analyze government legislation and budget information to assess business opportunities and develop strategies for market penetration.

Assist in the preparation and coordination of RFIs, RFPs, and other written responses.

Provide administrative support to the Business Development team, including scheduling meetings, responding to data calls, and maintaining CRM.

Respond to internal opportunity assessment and research needs.

Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients and potential customers to understand their needs and preferences.

Assist in developing and maintaining SharePoint based repositories.

Ability to travel as needed.

Desired Skills:

Graphic creation and desktop publishing experience a plus.

Fluent in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Knowledge of MS SharePoint Administration and MS Dynamics platform.

Strong skills using online research tools; ability to learn new tools.

Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills; high attention to detail.
