16th EWS Ops Analyst

DCS Corp Niceville, FL (Onsite) Full-Time

The mission of the 16th Electronic Warfare Squadron is to develop and test electronic warfare systems to defeat enemy radar and infrared guided missile systems, thus enhancing aircrew and aircraft survivability in combat.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide Support to Test Engineers during planning, execution, and reporting phases of electronic warfare operational test.

Activities include participation in test execution, data collection and reduction, data analysis, and test reporting.

Test Support includes development of test objectives, test methods, and test procedures, specification of data requirements, development of data collection forms and logs, and coordination with test support agencies and ranges.

Develops, maintains, and manages data tools to support the test team.

Manages databases and analytic functions to ensure robust, secure, and responsive data control and evaluation capability.

Apply scientific methods and techniques to analyze system, processes, and/or operational problems and procedures.

Conducts Foreign Material Exploitation of enemy assets; analyzes the resulting test data to derive statistically defensible and actionable conclusions.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A Bachelors degree plus 3 years of experience is required.

Active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI. 

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) macros to manipulate and analyze data.

Must possess good communication and presentation skills.

Must be a self-motivated, independent, critical thinker able to work as part of an integrated team.

Must have statistical data analysis skills including regression analysis and the technical writing skills to present results to decision makers.

Desired Skills:

Proficiency in Design of Experiments (DOE) techniques and Response Surface Methodology (RSM).

Background with statistical or mathematical modeling.

Knowledge of various data distributions and their analyses.

Proficiency in creating/writing VBA macros to manipulate and analyze data.

Knowledge of at least one data analysis/statistical software package (Design Expert, JMP, R, or Minitab).

MS Degree in Mathematics or Statistics is highly desired.

Familiarization with Air Force test processes and regulations.
