CPI-VE Coordinator
The applicant should train, track to monitor progress, and advise the organization on Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) and Value Engineering (VE) initiatives, activities, and projects.
Essential Job Functions:
The Applicant shall facilitate CPI meetings with the organization’s management. The Applicant shall advise on VE and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) topics and attend VE and LSS meetings.
The Applicant shall support CPI statistical analysis of projected value and advise the CPI/VE project manager on accepted LSS process steps and methods. The Applicant shall interface with internal and external stakeholders, including higher-level organizations, TACOM Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC), other Program Executive Offices, Headquarters Department of Army (HQDA), and other CPI/VE Points of Contact on yearly goals, objectives, process requirements, and completion incentives. The Applicant shall provide regular status updates to the organization leadership.
The Applicant shall execute analyses using models, simulation, and virtual prototypes to optimize organizational performance. The Applicant shall make improvement recommendations based on these analyses.
The Applicant shall utilize systems engineering practices and tools to identify, analyze, and evaluate organizational approaches that accelerate schedule, decrease cost, improve performance, and reduce risk. The Applicant shall provide recommendations on the processes and approaches to be implemented for organizational improvement.
The Applicant shall provide process improvement and VE recommendations related to future organizational capability enhancements.
The Applicant shall develop and maintain organizational database tracking metrics to access and report on the effectiveness of implemented approaches.
The Applicant shall upload draft and final versions of briefings, charts, written narrative documents, reports, schedules, pictures, videos, and other related products to organizational electronic database sites as instructed by Government leads.
The Applicant shall identify products worked on in their individual monthly progress submissions for inclusion into the consolidated Monthly Progress and Status Report IAW CDRL A004.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Management, Logistics, Quality, Production, or other related field with extensive experience
A minimum of 5 consecutive years, within the last 7 years, experience, (preferably ground combat vehicle systems experience), with a business or government organization in the performance of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and CPI project definition, measure, assessment and analysis, process improvement, and control.
