Test Integration Lead

DCS Corp Niceville, FL (Onsite) Full-Time

This position, the NAVAIR PMA-201 Test and Integration Engineer lead CSS, will be in support of the Small Diameter Bomb Increment II (SDB II) and BRU-61 Joint Program Offices.  The successful candidate will plan, coordinate, and lead resolution of major test and integration engineering and program challenges associated with the development, integration, and air worthiness qualification testing of the SDB II and the BRU-61 Miniature Munitions Bomb Rack. The position is in a Joint Air Force (AFLCMC/EBDM)/Navy organization managing development, fielding and sustainment for USAF, USN, and Marine Corps combat forces' precision strike munitions.

Essential Job Functions:

Demonstrate systems engineering and/or technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas:  DoD 5000 Series Acquisition processes and documentation, munitions development, airborne stores suspension and release mechanisms, Universal Armament Interface requirements, software certification, DoD airworthiness certification and support process.

Interact with system-of-system Subject Matter Expert (SME) counterparts, including structures, strength, loads, and aircraft integration, to ensure a complete fielding solution is technically viable and on schedule.

Supervise all SDB II and BRU-61 matters for Development and Operational Test events.

Act as a SME for weapon and BRU system operations.

Plan and execute technical reviews and assessments according to entrance/exit criteria (e.g., System Requirements Review, design reviews, requirements compliance assessment).

Review, develop, or edit program or technical documents (e.g., Systems Engineering Plan, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, Risk Management Plan).

Maintains situational awareness of operational problem/issues affecting SDB II or BRU-61 operations.

Provides test support for all weapon system integration and flight test activities (e.g. E3, Captive Flight Test, Weapon Separation, Weapon Effectiveness).

Interface and provide contract support to include drafting of contracts documents (e.g. SOWs CDRLs, DD254s). 

Track current testing contracts status and program funding.

Support Program Management Reviews, Integrated Baseline Reviews, and other product reviews as required.

Perform reviews, studies, audits, evaluations and analyses and provide technical recommendations.

Attend and support Engineering Technical Interchanges with Aircraft and Weapon Program Offices and vendors.

Attend and support Test Planning and Test events with Weapon and BRU vendors, Aircraft and Weapon Program Offices and vendors.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.  

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field plus 15 years of experience.

Current/Ability to attain Secret clearance.

Experience with Air Force or Naval Air Systems Command flight clearance policy for air vehicles and aircraft systems. 

Experience with Air Force or Naval Air Systems Command systems engineering technical review process. 

Experience with development, integration, testing, and deployment of Armament Systems and their associated weapon interoperability, interfaces, and verification and test assessment requirements.

Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Travel is required (~25% per month).

Ability to rent/operate rental cars while on travel.

Ability to work flexible and varied hours.

Desired Skills:

Experience with the USN Developmental and Operational test and evaluation squadrons and associated test processes.

Experience with flying weapon system test bed support (e.g. plan, coordinate and conduct).

Experience with E3 weapon system test support (e.g. plan, coordinate and conduct).

Understanding of MIL-STD-1760, 1553, and UAI standards and protocols.

Collects and archives all mission data for each DT missions (USAF and USN).

Assists Government customers with current and historical data analysis.

Assists Government customers with system performance analysis for all platform inquiries.

Supports weapon integration and test in platform Software-in-the-loop Laboratories (SILs).

Evaluates and proposes changes to governing documents to support weapon integration.
