Test & Evaluation Engineering Support, Senior

Candidate shall provide advice and assistance for the HPO DT&E activities.

Essential Job Functions:

Candidate shall provide advice and assistance in DT&E conducted by the prime contractor.

Support test activities include the following: review of system performance compliance, review of test objectives, review of test methods and detailed test procedures, review of contract data requirements, review of instrumentation and test support equipment requirements, review of data collection forms and logs, and reviewing test reports.

Provide advice and assistance in DT&E conducted by the 413 FLTS. Test activities to support include the following: review of system performance compliance, development of test objectives, development of test methods and detailed test procedures, review of contract data requirements, identification of instrumentation and test support equipment requirements, development of data collection forms and logs, analysis of test data, coordination with test support agencies and ranges, and reviewing and/or writing test reports.

Will demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in their area of expertise. (Program Office, Enterprise and Staff Level Support interface).

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program with 15 years of experience or a Master's degree with 12 years of experience is required.

Active Secret Clearance.

Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in their technical/professional field, possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and journeyman personnel within the technical/professional discipline.

Candidate must have the ability to obtain a category 9C Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) class III flight physical (AF FM 1042, Medical Recommendation for Flying) to support flight tests.  Candidate will also require physiological training (altitude chamber) which will be provided by the government.
