Acquisition Analyst
DCS is seeking an Acquisition Analyst to execute acquisition management requirements with specialized FMS expertise to provide support across an entire product line for PM Air Warrior, Huntsville, AL. In this role the Acquisition Analyst will provide critical acquisition support for international defense programs in support of U.S. security cooperation objectives. The analyst will support program execution by conducting market research, tracking and managing project and financial data, drafting correspondence, and developing presentations and reports. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.
Essential Functions:
Draft professional correspondence, memoranda, and program documentation in support of FMS case management.
Develop and deliver briefings, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders and international partners.
Provide input to support the preparation of Price and Availability (P&A) responses, Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOAs), and Case Amendments.
Conduct market research to support acquisition planning and decision-making.
Assists in providing contract oversight of FMS requirements.
Use project management and tracking tools to monitor program milestones, deliverables, and actions.
Maintain financial tracking and oversight, supporting budget planning and execution.
Monitor and update acquisition and logistics data across various systems.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including logistics, contracting, finance, and program management offices.
Support customer engagement and status reporting with foreign partners.
Assists with determining contracting strategy, prepares contracting documents, and coordinates activities with contracting organizations.
Assists in providing contract oversight for assigned FMS cases.
Maintains and manages the FMS admin and case budgets.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Must have a Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Public Administration, or related field and 12 years of experience.
Minimum of 2–5 years of relevant experience in acquisition, program analysis, or logistics and familiarity with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) process and associated policies (e.g., SAMM).
Knowledge of DSAMS, SCIP, or other FMS case management systems is a plus.
Understanding of U.S. Army acquisition processes and lifecycle management.
Experience conducting market research and producing analytic reports or presentations.
Experience with GFEBS (General Fund Enterprise Business System) or similar financial management tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional correspondence drafting.
