Computer Engineer III

This is an opportunity to join the fast-paced world of simulation solutions with DCS Corp’s Modeling, Simulation, and Sensors Department engineering group located in Sterling Heights, MI. You will work alongside our U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center customer and be rewarded with a technically challenging and diverse career in the simulation of manned & unmanned ground vehicles using Unreal Engine.

Essential Job Functions:

Perform software requirements analysis, design, coding and documentation.

Perform integration of technologies with Unreal Engine 4/5 based Modeling & Simulation software environment.

Perform development of Unreal Engine plugins and assets to support M&S environment.

Support software implementation in C/C++, Python, and shell scripting on various operation systems.

Support modeling & simulation of manned/unmanned vehicles including dynamics, sensors, power systems, and articulations.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or in related engineering or science discipline with 5 years of experience.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.

Demonstrated excellent proficiency in C++ and object oriented analysis and design.

Demonstrated excellent proficiency in Unreal Engine, Unity, or similar game engine development software.

Demonstrated excellent proficiency in Git, Perforce, Plastic SCM, or similar version control software.

Demonstrate excellent written and oral communications skills.

Desired Skills:

Demonstrated proficiency with orchestration software such as Ansible or similar.

Demonstrated proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems.

Demonstrated proficiency with Computer Architecture, Network Architecture, and Networking concepts.
