Air Drop Liaison
DCS is seeking a skilled Air Drop Liaison to join our fast-paced program office. You will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the personnel airdrop products. The ideal candidate is an energetic, self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.
Essential Functions:
Provides senior-level expertise functioning as a liaison between PM and airdrop community.
Coordinates new materiel introductory briefings and new equipment training.
Documents and establishes proper inspection and procedures for use of parachute systems.
Participates in developmental testing and operational testing of airdrop systems.
Communicates with vendors and industry regarding acquisition process and maintain awareness of the parachute industrial base.
Certifies parachute equipment maintainers on proper in servicing, use, and maintenance of new equipment.
Works with parachute user community to prevent and resolve parachute system technical issues.
Conducts live jumps during parachute system testing.
Provides physical drop zone coverage during standard and non-standard airborne operations.
Provides malfunction and injury reporting as required.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor’s degree and 15 years of relevant experience.
Must have a Secret clearance.
Thorough understanding of Life Cycle Logistics regulations and policies including DoD 5000 series, AR 70-1, AR 700-127, and AR 700-142.
Competency in communication, leadership, logistics automated systems, team management, and risk management.
