Network Administrator

The Network Administrator will lead efforts required for the sustainment and augmentation of an accredited network system in accordance with DoD RMF controls and regulations.

Essential Job Functions:

Plan, install, and monitor network devices.

Troubleshoot and correct network problems.

Administer network firewalls, switches, and wireless components.

Keep system network diagrams and documentation up to date.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Ability to obtain security clearance.

Minimum High School Diploma/GED plus 16 years of experience, an Associate degree plus 10 years or a bachelor’s degree 8 yrs, or Master's degree 6 years’ experience in a specialized field.

Routing and Switching administration with Cisco (or other network OS) and Linux.

Familiarity with networking protocols (STP, LACP, DHCP, BGP, RADIUS, TACACS+). 

Configuration automation (Python, Ansible, Bash, or other scripting/programming language). 

Cisco VPN administration Cisco ASA and Linux Firewall administration Network Access Controller administration (AAA Server).

Datacenter Management (Serial Console, Patching Drops, Cabling, Tagging) Basic Linux System Administration skills such as installation, configuration, and package management.

Desired Skills:

Targeted computing environment certification (Cisco, Windows Server, etc.), separate from baseline cert (can be substituted for Army Skillport training once on the job if applicant does not possess).

Experience with Linux Container Networking (Podman, Docker, or Kubernetes).
