DPSS Systems Engineer

Salary Range: $69,230 - $84,200

DPSS is seeking an experienced system engineer to support product development and integration activities. The incumbent shall provide engineering disciplines to the product deliverables in a tactically relevant environment with the ultimate objective of delivering accredited capabilities to the fleet.

Essential Job Functions:

Support DPSS product development and integration activities.

Develop and manage requirements for DPSS product and services.

Design, develop, execute, and document system test and validation procedures.

Participate in design and readiness reviews for DPSS products and services.

Capture and document system performance.

Generate and Manage defect/deficiency reports for DPSS developed systems.

Oversee and support DPSS products throughout the product life cycle.

Support customer installation and upgrades of DPSS products.

Support business development activities for DPSS products and services.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance for continued employment.

Bachelor's degree computer science/engineering/mathematics with 3+ years of experience.

Travel 25%. Remote work in the Southern California area eligible.

Familiarity in Android operating systems, software development, test, and systems engineering.

Familiarity with tactical radio communications equipment configuration and operation.

Able to work independently with multiple entities and coordinate systems engineering, development, and test efforts.

Knowledge of requirements and defect management software.

Knowledge of formal standards and documentation such as military standards, ICDs, PSPECs, etc.

Desired Skills:

Military experience desired.
