Embedded Software Verification Engineer

DCS Corp Sterling Heights, MI (Onsite) Full-Time

This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced program with DCS Corp’s Army Ground Combat Software Engineering group located in Warren, MI. 

As an Embedded Software Verification Engineer, you will apply your knowledge and skills towards developing a world class Embedded System Software Verification and Test Capability for such vehicle systems as the Robotics Programs and the Abrams and Stryker combat vehicles. In this position, you will leverage your experience in developing Automated Test Procedures, Test Scripts and Test Plans intended to verify and validate system software functionality.  

In addition, you will interface with the Systems and Software Engineering teams.

Essential Job Functions:

Developing System and Software Level Test Plans and Test Strategies.

Developing Test Procedures based on Software Requirements.

Develop Test Scripts, code and/or methods for Test Automation.

Utilize tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, to read and decipher messages on CAN Bus and Ethernet.

Executing Test Procedures within a System Integration Lab (SIL) and/or on-vehicle.

Documenting Problem Reports utilizing tracking tools such as JIRA.

Support Engineering Peer Reviews and conduct Peer Reviews on Test Procedures.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline and 6 years of experience.

Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Experience in verification and validation techniques within an embedded software engineering environment.

Experience working with CAN Bus, Ethernet, Serial Interfaces.

Experience with test scripting and automation.

Familiar with programming and/or scripting such as: C/C++, Java (JavaScript), Python, PowerShell / Bash scripting, VB (VBA/VBscript).

Familiar with working in a Linux environment.

Experience with test activities conducted on-vehicle and with System Integration Lab (SIL) equipment.

Desired Skills:

Familiar with configuration management and version control management.

Familiar with peer review processes.
