Information System Security Engineer (ISSE)
The successful candidate will assist the 16th Electronic Warfare Squadron, 350th Electronic Warfare Group (350 EWG) at Eglin AFB, Florida. The 350 EWG is the technical focal point for all electronic warfare (EW) support of warfighter systems for the Combat Air Forces (CAF).
The mission of the 350 EWG is to develop and test mission data (MD) to defeat enemy radar and infrared guided missile systems, thus enhancing aircrew and aircraft survivability in combat. This mission includes operational EW testing, MD development/validation/verification, force development evaluation execution and facilitating foreign materiel exploitation.
Seeking qualified Information System Security Engineer (ISSE), to support the 350rd Wing Technical Support Services contract, to provide the Air Force support services in the areas of network, security and test & evaluation.
Essential Job Functions:
The applicant shall provide advice and assistance in capturing and refining information security requirements and ensuring they are effectively integrated into information technology component products and information systems through purposeful security architecting, design, development, and configuration; design and develop organizational information systems/networks or upgrading legacy systems; coordinating security-related activities with information system security architects, information system owners, program managers, information system security officers, information system security managers, and security control assessors; tracing security controls with the RMF team, to the actual system security requirements documented in the acquisition process; establishing system boundaries; assessing the severity of vulnerabilities in the system; identifying potential adverse effects of vulnerabilities; developing effective plans of action and milestones; creating risk mitigation approaches; establishing security alerts; translating security controls into system specifications, ensuring the successful integration of specifications into the system design, and ensuring security engineering trades do not impact the ability of the system to meet the fundamental mission requirements.
Office setting that includes sedentary physical effort. However, may include lifting of weight up to thirty pounds as necessary.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
A bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience is required.
TS clearance with DCID 6/4 within the last 5 years and sensitive compartmented information (SCI) eligibility.
The successful applicant will a have experience planning, installing, configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft Hyper V, Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 R2 and client products across multiple networks as well as strong networking background to include addressing and port and protocol knowledge.
May be required to have the proper and current information assurance certification to perform information assurance functions in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program.
Knowledge, skills and attributes associated with this position(s) include:
A valid/current DoD 8140 IMA-Level II certification.
Microsoft Server 2012/2012 R2 Experience.
Design, deploy, and maintain Windows 2012/2012R2 systems, AD, DHCP, DNS, NTP, CA, Active Directory, GPO, and other core infrastructure components in an enterprise environment.
Strong knowledge of supporting MS tools (WSUS, SCDPM, SCOM).
Microsoft Server Virtualization.
Experience Deploying and Maintaining Hyper-V servers and guests.
Experience Deploying and Maintaining Microsoft Failover Clustering.
Experience Deploying and using System Center Virtualization Manager to manage multiple Hyper-V host clusters.
Familiarity/proficiency with network principles, concepts, equipment and tools sufficient to assist in planning and maintaining network services; network standards and equipment sufficient to install, configure, and troubleshoot components such as routers, hubs, switches, and servers; information technology hardware and software products, as well as, computer peripherals (e.g. printers, monitors, hard drives, docking stations, scanners, etc.); customer service support skills; customer training to include demonstrations of hardware/software; documentation development; database development, design, implementation, and maintenance; network operations and administration; application development, design and implementation; document scanning and retrieval.
Desired Skills:
Prior SAP experience
Knowledge of Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG)
Experience with MS SQL.
Experience with System Center Operations Manager.
Good Understanding of basic networking (Routing/Switching/VLANS/Firewalls).
Experience working with third party vendors during development/troubleshooting.
Generating/Routing Documentation.
