Project Administrator
DCS Corp is seeking a dynamic, pro-active, team oriented, energetic, customer focused administrator to support our U.S. Army customer out of our Warren, MI location. You will be working with a group of managers, engineers and technicians, and will be primarily involved in planning, analyzing and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of internal operations for the organization.
Essential Job Functions:
Serves as a Project Officer in GVSC GVR primarily involved in planning, analyzing, and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of internal operations for the organization.
Serves as Defense Travel System (DTS), ATAAPS, awards, OOO, credit card, suggestions, forms and publications, supplies and equipment, property accountability and security issues Administrator. Provides advice and counsel regarding visit requests, mission travel requirements, and travel arrangements.
Maintains the GVR Associate Directors calendars and appointment/meeting schedules. Ensures appropriate arrangements are made for locally scheduled meetings and conferences. Exercising maximum tact, diplomacy, and judgment along with a comprehensive knowledge of the GVSC responsibilities, organizational policies, operations and programs relating to the office, determines appropriate handling of each.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
High school diploma and 5 years of experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Ability to plan, conduct and document a variety of studies, analyses, and reports, including findings, recommendations, and follow-up.
Knowledge of the mission and functions, organization structure of the PEO/DRPM organization and its interrelationship with matrix organizations in order to support and provide advice on a variety of management programs and initiatives.
Ability to coordinate, evaluate and integrate the work of others into a cohesive final product which accurately reflects the organization's position on a wide variety of management issues.
Ability to serve on or lead the efforts of various committees, meetings, workgroups and process action teams.
Ability to effectively interact one-on-one with mangers, peers and subordinates.
Ability to plan and organize work to include gathering, analyzing and presenting facts in such a manner as to execute projects and/or studies within established time constraints.
Knowledge of administrative concepts and practices sufficient to enable the incumbent to recommend changes in administrative policies, devise and install procedures and office practices affecting subordinate organizations and foresee administrative problems and requirements.
Knowledge of the substantive programs of the organization as they relate to clerical and administrative functions.
Knowledge of standard office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, scanners, printers, etc., to perform routine clerical and administrative functions. Knowledge of PCs and software such as word processors, graphics, spreadsheets, database management systems, and communications such as cell phones, pagers and handheld personal computers.
Skill in preparing correspondence.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of the DTS system and operational practices.
Knowledge of protocol procedures, ethics regulations, and travel regulations.
