Experimentation Operations Specialist

This is an Operations Specialist position in the Experimentation & Scientific Computing Branch of DEVCOM GVSC – Immersive Simulations. The incumbent serves an operations specialist for the experimentation discipline and advises in the tactics, techniques, and procedures required to design, develop, and execute military operations.
Essential Job Functions:
Serves an operations specialist for the experimentation discipline and advises in the tactics, techniques, and procedures required to design, develop, and execute military operations. Incumbent will conduct deliberate planning, analyzing, organizing, and integrating of current and emerging operational and system capabilities to achieve desired warfighting mission effects. Incumbent works with the technical disciplines in Immersive Simulation to assure technical designs and implementations meet the overall objectives of virtual experiments. Incumbent is expected to be competent in Army force structure, systems, technology, and tactics. Incumbent is expected to be competent with computing systems and be able to understand simulation and gaming technologies used to compose a Virtual Experiment. Furthermore, the incumbent must be adept at translation of customer needs and expectations into technical requirements and experimental design. Incumbent practices these disciplines by personally working efforts and features supporting the Virtual Experiments.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Must be able to hold a DoD Secret security clearance.
Bachelors degree and 12 years experience, or a Master's degree and 10 years of experience.
High level of familiarity with Army force structure, systems, and tactics.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Familiar with computer gaming and simulation technologies.
Completion of U.S. Army Captain's Career Course.
Desired Skills:
Completion of U.S. Army Intermediate Level Education.
