DCS is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the engineering efforts for a future PACAF research, development, integration, testing and evaluation project. The effort will deliver warfighter-ready capabilities to PACAF.
The position is anticipated to be in Beavercreek, OH with some travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
The ideal candidate would have a PhD in an Engineering Discipline with prior experience supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory. Ideally, the candidate would be a retired USAF Colonel or GS-15 or equivalent.
Essential Job Functions:
Prior experience managing a technology portfolio and the business operations of a complex R&D Organization in AFRL.
Led and managed an R&D Organization with 100+ employees.
Provided technical review and guidance for R&D programs.
Prior experience serving as a member of an Executive Group.
Experience developing and managing large ($100M+ R&D budgets.
Ability to work with large and small business subcontractors to research a project, develop solutions, integration of solutions, test and evaluation of solutions, deliver a prototype project, and work with AFLCMC to move projects to full acquisition.
Experience with C5ISRT, counter-C5ISRT, and Agile Combat Employment is a plus.
Travel: Travel may be required per the customer's discretion
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret Level Clearance with SCI eligibility.
Master's Degree or PhD in an engineering field and 20+ years of experience with 12+ years of experience in the DoD. PhD is preferred.
