Job Description

The UX/UI Designer is responsible for guiding the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design and implementation of various applications.  They ensure all elements of the user experience are optimized for improved usability, workflow, and usefulness.

Essential Job Functions:

Investigate user experience design requirements for applications.

Produce high quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.

Design UI elements and tools such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and other controls.

Test UI elements such as layouts, designs, flows, and target links.

Collaborate with the project team and customers to ensure the best possible user experience for applications being developed.

Provide advice and guidance on implementation of UX research methodologies and testing activities in order to analyze and understand user behavior.

Work closely with Subject Matter Experts to gain a better understanding of the mission domain for our applications.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A High School Diploma or GED plus 13 years of experience, an Associate's degree plus 7 years, a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years or a Master’s degree plus 4 years of experience is required.

Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance within 6-9 months of hire.

Experience with the following technologies and software: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Visio / Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, PhotoShop

Able to design, develop, and work with users of software in group or individual settings.

Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.

Desired Skills:

Experience with frameworks such as Angular or ReactJS.

Any experience with software development using languages such as C#, C++, or Java.

Knowledge and understanding of mission planning needs of military aviators.

Knowledge and familiarity with Azure DevOps and Git.

Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is a plus
