Job Description

Weapon System Logistician supporting the Small Diameter Bomb (SDB) Joint Program Office.  The SDB office is a Joint Air Force/Navy organization managing development, fielding and sustainment for USAF, USN, and Marine Corps combat forces’ SDB (e.g. SDB I, SDB II, JAGM-F & BRU-61) munition systems.

Essential Job Functions:

Assist in developing or tailoring logistics plans, reports, records, information technology documentation, and other acquisition documentation.

Provide Subject Matter Expert for SDB weapon system ground handling & sustainment operations.

Maintains situational awareness of operational problem/issues affecting SDB operations.

Provides flight line support for all integration and test activities.

Lead on-site manager responsible for analysis during DoN & USAF Logistics Life Cycle Management System events and activities.

Review and evaluate Support Equipment Requirements Documents (SERDs) and other support equipment related documentation.

Conduct site activations for weapon systems including the fielding, initial bed-down, training and all other required preparations at operational locations.

Develop and teach Tactics, Techniques, Procedures (TTP) and other operational and lifecycle product support training curriculums at operational USAF & DoN schoolhouses as required to support user training, evaluation, qualification and continued learning.

Assess and report adequacy of Contractor reliability/maintainability demonstration test plans regarding supportability requirements.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship.

A High School Diploma or GED plus 16 years of experience, an Associate's Degree plus 10 years, a Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years or a Master's Degree plus 6 year of experience is required.

Current Secret clearance.

Experience in Fleet Logistics, the Common Munitions Built-In-Test/Reprogramming Equipment (CMBRE), and Munitions Application Program (MAP).

Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Travel is required.

Ability to rent/operate rental cars while on travel.

Ability to work flexible and varied hours.

Desired Skills:

Assess and report prime Contractor progress versus logistics requirements.Identify problems and recommend corrective actions.

Develop data requirements, RFPs, standards, and other logistics portions of contractual documents.

Assist in developing or tailoring logistics plans, reports, records, information technology documentation, and other acquisition documentation.

Assist in planning, coordinating, and scheduling retrofit actions.

Train personnel involved in the end-to-end processes of preparing weapons for operational use.

Estimate spares, support equipment, and personnel requirements.

Assist in determining if recommended spares and support equipment are essential and/or available at lower cost from Government sources.Integrate current supply support strategies/concepts.

Participate in support-related testing.Monitor and verify test performance.Analyze test anomalies, and recommend corrective actions.
