Job Description

Program Manager for major Unmanned Aviation program in support of the US Army.

Essential Job Functions:

Oversee software development to produce an open architecture product for control of unmanned Army aircraft.

Establish program schedules, manage budgets, oversee the deployment of human and facility resources.

Interface frequently with customer organization.

Assist in preparation and review of management deliverables including financial and status reports.

Use metrics and earned value management to assess technical progress and control program schedule, scope and budget.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A Bachelor’s Degree plus 12 years of experience is required.

Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance within 6-9 months of hire.

At least 10 years of program management experience including use of Earned Value Management techniques. 

At least 5 years of experience should include management of a software-intensive program.

Excellent customer relationship management and communication skills required.

Must be able to express thoughts well both verbally and in writing.

At least 2 years of experience managing subcontractors. 

At least 2 years of experience supporting Army aviation programs.

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with Agile software development practices, open architectures, and/or DO-178B/C processes highly desirable.

Experience supporting unmanned aviation programs, especially Army UAS programs, highly desirable.
