Job Description

DCS Corporation is seeking an experienced project analyst/technical data analyst or engineering technician to directly support PMA209 Fleet Support Team (FST) in the collection, evaluation and cataloging of Technical Data Packages (TDP), drawings and associated parts lists, specifications, Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD), Engineering Data for Provisioning (EDFP), manufacturing data, and technical reports. 

Essential Job Functions:

Conduct technical engineering analysis on avionics parts and products that are entering obsolescence status.

Generate engineering plans/processes/procedures needed to ensure service life sustainment of avionics used by the Fleet.

Familiarity of Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process and knowledge of how avionics products transition to the FST for sustainment purposes.

Provide engineering support/technical analysis as required during Fleet Engineering Investigations (EI), Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) reviews, electronic circuit/piece part analysis and review of Tech Pubs and Manuals.

Provide planning and oversight to ensure that tested capabilities are verified and validated.

Perform technical drawing engineering reviews for specification, dimensioning and tolerance requirement compliance.

Operate with a variety of stakeholders, including PMA209 FST staff, the Fleet and external PMA customers.

Provide analysis of technical/path forward decisions related to proposed system redesigns and/or the use of alternative or substitute parts.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A Bachelor’s Degree plus eight years of experience is required.

An active Secret security clearance is required.

An ability to travel is a requirement of this position.

Desired Skills:

Experience in a design, manufacturing/inspection environment that required the use and interpretation of engineering drawings.

Experience with Engineering drawing authoring or checking within a mechanical and electrical design environment.

A thorough technical understanding of relevant industry-standard TDP standards.

A strong understanding of ASME Y14 documentation standards to include drawing types, revisions, next higher assemblies and building structures.

Experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software such as Teamcenter or Windchill, with experience of Workflows within Teamcenter to support electronic design release, drawing markups and general paperless management of engineering data.

Experience with JEDMICS and data management to include adding TDP structures and making edits to current data products.

Sound documentation capabilities using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Access.

Experience in the management and building of rational database structures.

Experience with TDP Types/levels and the data products needed to support lifecycle requirements.

Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of ASME Y14.24 (Types and Applications of Engineering Drawings) and ASME Y14.34 (Associated Lists) codes and standards.
