Job Description

Plans and implements Configuration and Data Management efforts in support of the PMA-281 CCS System Integration (SI) and Software Sustainment efforts (SSE).

Essential Job Functions:

Requires in-depth knowledge of CM/DM processes and procedures. Participates in Configuration Control Boards, Milestone and Status meetings and other project events as required.

Provides advice and recommendations in areas of expertise.

Develop and implement Configuration Management Plan.

Establish and maintain a configuration management and change management system for controlling configuration items.

Identify configuration items, components, and related work products under configuration management.

Create or release baselines for internal use and for delivery to the customer.

Track change requests for configuration items.

Control changes to configuration items.

Perform configuration audits to maintain the integrity of configuration items.

Brief CM activity and status as required.

Job Requirements

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A High School Diploma plus 16 years of experience, an Associate’s Degree plus 10 years of experience, a Bachelor’s Degree plus 8 years of experience or a Master’s Degree plus 6 years of experience is required.

Must be able to attain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance.

In-depth knowledge and experience with Configuration Management Plans and Process.

Knowledge and experience with Engineering Change Proposals and Technical Directives.

Working knowledge of NAVAIR Configuration Management Engineering Change Policies, Processes and Procedures.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to train and mentor junior staff.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Detail and focus oriented.

Desired Skills/Certifications:

Certified Configuration Manager.

Certified Configuration Management Assessor.
